Last year the IRS issued $5 Billion in fraudulent tax refunds. WOW. 60 Minutes had a news article on this subject. So my question is how to stop the fraud?
1. Issue ALL taxpayers are personal PIN, just like with your debit card.
2. Require ALL W-2 form to be electronically filed by Jan. 31st each year.
Simple in my mind. Of course getting Congress to agree on something is NOT simple. With the annual deficit in our country around $1 Trillion per year we can not continue giving away billions of tax dollars to criminals.
